We know as real estate agents that building your database is crucial, absolutely and irrefutably, to your future success.  This isn’t even to be argued. What can be argued is how to go about it.  Me? I believe in having a little fun along the way in everything I do.

Let me give you an example.  In 2015, before I became the Team Leader at KW, Diamond Partners in Olathe, I sold two houses to people I met in my bicycling group.  Well, I didn’t sell them.  Agents I referred the leads to sold them. But here is the point, I did something I like to do anyway, met new people along the way and just through the natural course of things I managed to get two more houses sold.  My new friends get great representation, the agents I refer to earn and I get paid a referral fee.  Who wins? EVERYONE!

There really isn’t a great deal more to say here.  Find something you like to do and do it.  Meeting people doesn’t have to be work, it can be fun.  Should be fun.  Whether it be hiking, biking, talking, crafting, photography, WHATEVER, enjoy your life and work that enjoyment in to your work.  Or, build your work in to your social life.  Real estate sales is a lifestyle. Work and fun are not always separate issues.  Get used to it.
