Many, many years ago Gary Keller of Keller Williams Realty started talking about moving from “E” to “P” in your real estate business and today we are going to talk about Moving From “E” to “P” when Building a Real Estate Team.
What is “E” to “P”?
“E” = Entrepreneurial
“P” = Purposeful
Simply put, entrepreneurial is kinda like winging it. Look, every realtor out there has a natural ceiling of achievement. For some that is selling 24 homes. For others it may be 72 homes before looking to add team members. Purposeful is instilling models and systems that allow you to move past that natural ceiling of achievement. Watch this video by Brenda Benson for a great explanation.
Gary Keller developed the Six Personal Perspectives in his earlier years to build Keller Williams and to allow his real estate agents to be more productive. Gary did this by studying the habits of highly productive real estate agents….it wasn’t just a brain storm he had.
Therefore, you don’t need to be a Keller Williams Realty agent to implement these ideas, habits and strategies. You just need to be willing to allow yourself to develop yourself and your business…purposefully. (Of course, having coaching and training on a monthly basis that reinforces these habits and strategies may be key to your success, as it was mine.)

There are two books I would recommend reading on this subject of being purposeful about your business. The first is…
have a great retirement one day. You can create a great retirement as a single agent. And you can rocket-ship your retirement plan by creating a real estate business with income that outlasts you through your retirement years.
That is done through building a sustainable real estate team through purposeful actions.
